Summer Fruit Prints

Okay.  I am loving this summer fruit print trend. But have we noticed that it's all about the tropical and citrus fruits this year? I haven't seen the typical apple or cherry print anywhere, but the pineapple- hello, that fruit is everywhere. I'm going to go as far as to say it's Queen of fruit prints this summer. I think coming in for a close second is the Lemon. I personally am a huge fan of the lemon print. I feel like its way more sophisticated grown lady. The lemon print makes me imagine the Italian goddesses of the 50's sipping their limoncello somewhere along the Amalfi Coast.

The pineapple print on the other hand, is going along so well with this 90's revival.  I mean come on, just look at that skirt below!

I don't know if you can tell but this whole post has got me all giddy now. I mean drawing comparisons between different decades and different fruit prints. What a deliciously fun thing to do! ( Yeah. I just said that.) And just to share a few more of my beautiful fruit printed findings, here's one of my polyvore boards. I'm just slowly getting into it. But follow me if you'd like! Personally that lemon print skort from Topshop just kills me!

Little Summer White Dress

Hey! The first day of summer is just around the corner. This Saturday in fact, June 21 marks the official first day of summer. And what better way to show of that fresh summer tan then with a little white dress? If you didn't already know, glorious things happen when you're tanned and wear white. In the summer I tend to tan like no other, so I just picked up this dress from Ann Taylor to get this summer trend on the move! And double win: I can wear this dress with a few red accessories, and I'm all set for Canada Day!

I'm kind of obsessed with this one. If only the back wasn't so scandalous.

Icelandic Travel Style

Hi. Or should I say hall√≥. ( I had to look that up.) Yes, I have been in Iceland for 5 days now and did not know how to say hello. Don't judge me. Anyhow, today I'm featuring my dearest friend, and travel companion Eva on the blog. I have failed miserably in packing cute travel outfits. I hate to admit it, but it's true.  Thankfully Eva hasn't. We took these in Reykjavik just outside the magnificent opera house and just after our trip to the flea market. Because what trip isn't complete without a trip to a local flea market?

Eva is Queen of Winners.
Anytime I ask her where she bought something, the answer is always Winners. (TJ Maxx of Canada)

The Hunt is On

It has begun.
Day 1. Iceland: I have arrived.

My search for a traditional Icelandic sweater at a discounted price begins. I am looking for a sweater that looks something like this. Traditional and stunning.  Let's just think this is me in that sweater, because it will be soon enough. They typically go for around $200 or more! I plan on finding one much cheaper. I already found a charity shop in town I plan on visiting tomorrow. The hunt begins. Updates to follow.

Side Note: I really hope you read the title like Nelson Muntz in the Lord of the Flies, Simpsons episode. If you did, then I think we've just become best friends.

In the mean time this is some of the glorious scenery I witnessed today.
