Embroidered Charm

Okay. I don't know if you love embroidered details as much as I do on an item. But every time I see something embroidered, it just sells itself to me. I mean it adds this extra unique charm, that makes me need to have it. I grew up around embroidered folk prints, so maybe that's what gets to me. It just tugs at those heart strings. These are just a few embroidered pieces I am pining over this spring.

Liberty Prints

Hello my friends. Today it's all about Liberty. I actually don't even know where to begin. Just look at their website first and if you feel a rush of excitement and don't know where to click first because you must explore it all at that same second- then we're in the same boat.

My goodness. Now wasn't that fun? Man. It makes me so giddy every time I'm in a store and see a product in a liberty print. J.Crew just had some liberty print shirts in. Just last week I saw some liberty print dresses in Hudson Bay. And Nike just did I collaboration with Liberty!

I'm sorry. What? How freaking cute. And if that isn't enough, check out these shorts!
Okay. I'm not even sure where I was going with this post. I'm just so overwhelmed with beautiful patterns right now!

Pattern on Pattern | Diamonds & Stripes

Oh my. This was the first glorious day we've had here in Toronto. During this blog shoot there were people out everywhere. There were people walking their dogs, countless cyclists, and even those bearing their pale legs for all to see in shorts. I am not one of those Canadians whose out in shorts as soon as the temperature hits 10 degrees. It's got to be above 15 at least for me to get those puppies out. For now, I am quite content with a skirt and tights. Anyway, back to it. The outfit. Lets start at the skirt. I snagged this sweet skirt at Jcrew for a solid $25.00, when it was 40% off with my additional student discount on top of that. (If you click on the link you can see that I am pretty much recreating the look there. I can't help it. I love it!)  The older I get, the more I'm beginning to really care for quality and fabrics. So yeah a silk skirt for 25 dollars, bargin. The chelsea boots are from Asos. (Similar ones here) I wear these things all the time. The jacket is from Urban Outfitters. I bought it three years ago now, but the exact one is still being sold here.  And the clutch is from Target!

My friend Kaelin and I go on these blog shoots together. Check out her blog to see her Madeline inspired look at this magnificent location!

Clovers and Colour Blocks

Oh my. Okay. Campus is the most beautiful location to blog shoot, as I like to call it.  This look features my favorite jacket from Jcrew, wide leg jeans from Joe Fresh, and clover spotted button up from Loft. The bag is from Indigo. Yes, as in the book store. They sell accessories too! The pants, well let me tell you about those pants. I was on a mission for a few months looking for a pair of wide leg, Donna Pinciotti inspired jeans. Then I one day, I stumbled upon this pair at Joe on the clearance rack and nabbed them for a sweet $8.00. I guess not everyone is into the whole trouser wide leg. But I sure as heck am. The more wide leg pants I see on the streets these days the happier I am. If everyone could start adopting 70s inspired trends, life would be just be a little more sweeter.

Angela Bower: The woman I wanted to be

Its settled. This week, is all about leading ladies. Tuesday's post was all about Mindy. Today, we're headed back to the 80's and looking at high power ad exec Angela Bower. As a kid growing up, I wanted to be Angela so bad. Heck, I still do. She was just killing it in life.

Mindy's back in town

Finally. After long anticipation Mindy is back tonight! The Mindy Project is one of those shows I watch for a number of reasons. Yes the story writing is great. The humour, spot on. Romantic triangles, steamy. BUT there's more. Everytime I watch an episode, I'm always left feeling inspired by Mindy's outfits. She's big on pattern mixing and I love it.  So here is a board welcoming back Mindy and her wardrobe!

The framed picture of Danny is my homage to Helga Pataki. Because we're all hoping Mindy  is secretly in love with Danny. And if you're not, then I'm sorry, but I don't understand your logic.
